Typographic and Layout Design: Exprimental Type

Typographic and Layout Design: Exprimental Type:
I had to build and create a variety of letterforms using anything I could find inside for this project. I could have chosen to base my designs on a certain typeface or a made-up font of my own creation, but I chose to create my own font type. But we also had to do some research on one particular sort of typeface. I started by learning more about the font Arial and making a mind map of its history, design characteristics, and usage rights.  To further comprehend the capabilities of the font, I also captured pictures of it in use. My own letterforms were created with the use of this knowledge.

MindMaps of the Font Arial showing it's past histroy and design charactersitics as well as usage examples:

I made the decision to use the Vick Sweets to create the letterforms and write out the entire alphabet. I chose to use the Vick Sweets because I believed the concept was original and would set it apart from the rest. Because I appreciate the idea of creating letters out of sweets, I also made the decision to use Magic Stars Milky Way to construct parts of the letter forms as well as M and Ms to create the full alphabet. Additionally, I made the decision to employ cards to create parts of the letterforms, like using the match attax card game. Since this will modify the text size and the font size of most of the materials I used, I ultimately chose to use chopsticks to make the full Alphabet. In the end, I chose to use Badges to create some letterforms because they were challenging to make letterforms and would make amazing font type.
Making the Entire Alphabet using Vick Sweets:
To accomplish this, I simply formed each letter from A to W  using Vicks sweets, attached it to the wall using glue tac, and took a photo of the final piece.

Making some letter forms using Match Attax Cards:
I was drawn to Match Attax cards' distinctive and eye-catching design, so I decided to use them to build the full alphabet for my project. I was particularly intrigued to the cards' vivid colours and geometric patterns because I thought they would give my letterforms more visual appeal and interest.

In addition to its visual appeal, I liked the concept of employing a small and lightweight material for my project, like the Match Attax cards. I believed that the cards' compact size would help me achieve my goal of conveying accuracy and attention to detail through my letterforms.

In general, I thought the Match Attax cards gave me the ideal combination of attractive appearance and creative potential for my project. Using such an unusual and unconventional material to build the full alphabet was a task I enjoyed.
Making the Entire Alphabet using Chop Sticks:
Chopsticks' distinctive shape and adaptability as a building element drew me to using them to create the full alphabet for my project. Chopsticks' thin and elongated shape caught my attention in particular because I thought it would enable me to design letterforms with a sense of motion and movement.

I liked the concept of using chopsticks for my project since they are a natural and organic material, in addition to its visual appeal. The chopsticks' wood grain and texture, I reasoned, would help me achieve my goal of conveying warmth and a sense of connectedness to nature through my letterforms.
In the end, I thought the chopsticks gave me the perfect balance of visual appeal and creative possibility for my project.

I loved the challenge of making the full alphabet out of such an unexpected and unusual material.

Making the Entire Alphabet using M and Ms:
Because of its vibrant colours and eye-catching design, I decided to use M&M's sweets to create the full alphabet for my project. The vibrant colours and rounded curves of the M&M's seemed to be just what I needed to make my letterforms look joyful and enjoyable.

I also thought it was a good idea to use food as my main building material because it gave my project a unique and unexpected twist. I set out to create each letterform using only M&Ms because I wanted to push my creativity and force myself to think beyond the box.
Overall, I thought that the M&M sweets gave me the ideal balance of visual beauty, creative ability, and enjoyable challenge for my project.

Making some letter forms using Badges:
"I was drawn to badges' unique and eye-catching style, so I decided to use some of the letters in the alphabet to make some of the letters for my project. The bright colours and creative designs on the badges really caught my attention since I thought they would give my letterforms more visual appeal and excitement.

I liked the idea of employing a small, big, and compact material like badges for my project in addition to its visual appeal. I believed that the different sized badges would enable me to convey a feeling of accuracy and attention to detail in my letterforms.

Overall, I thought the badges gave my project the ideal combination of artistic value and imaginative potential. I enjoyed the challenge of making some of the alphabet's letters out of such an odd and uncommon material.
